Kit Skincare Essentials
The five products above are some of my favourite skincare must-haves to have in my kit. There are so many amazing products out there that I want to give a go and experiment with, but these are 5 products that I’d repurchase over and over again.
Simple Wipes - By far the best wipes I’ve ever used, they’re soft, gentle and keep moist (there’s nothing worse than a pack of wipes that evaporate all moisture as soon as any air hits them).
Bioderma Crealine H20 - I’ve had this cleanser in my kit for a while now and everyone always asks what it is when I use it. With it’s super gentle, water-like feeling it is great for all skin types and brilliant for models when their skin is going through multiple look changes.
MAC Fix + - Where would I be without Fix+!? Many people come to me asking if this ‘fixes’ your make-up, no it doesn’t, but it does help your make-up look it’s best. Full of vitamins and minerals to feed the skin and ingredients such as green tea, cucumber and chamomile that help calm the skin, it’s a bottle of complete goodness. I use it before moisturising to help hydrate and boost the sinking in of moisturiser, during make-up application to help keep the product fresh, and after application or a few hours wear to replenish and freshen make-up. Currently I have the Mineralize charged water in my kit, which does the same thing but has a slightly citrus scent to it.
MAC Lip Conditioner SPF 15- With almond oil, shea butter and avocado extract along with vitamins A and E, this is another product packed with hydrating goodness. I put this on to the lip to help hydrate the lips while working on the face and eyes, I’ll then either exfoliate with a lip scrub or a face wipe to remove the product and any dead/dry skin.
Embroylisse Lait-Creme Concentre - A cult moisturiser and for good reason! This super hydrating moisturiser is gentle and enriched with essential fatty acids and vitamins. It helps to restore moisture, I love it on most skin types but especially dehydrated and dry as it brings the skin back to life, ready for the application of make-up. It is also a brilliant make-up remover, especially for those extreme looks that take almost as long taking the make-up off as it did to put it on! It just melts the products together, which is easily taken off with a cotton pad.

I love this look, we took inspiration from the denim jumpsuit and went with a hippy, festival, face painted look complete with fake freckles to give that outdoorsy, natural skin feel.

Since the sun has finally come out and it feels little more spring-like rather than the awful, dull winter we’ve had I thought I’d share one of the photos from the Colour Splash shoot I did last year. I really loved this look, the pinks, oranges, greens and yellows splattered and blended onto the face come together really well and give that spring/summer feeling.
